The old Cedar bus depot needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Marites's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $150 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 224 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
Glad we found this place.
