The Mukiza family fled Iraq - help them rebuild in Kisumu
Help a family of 8 start their new life in Kisumu: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Iraq 11 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Kisumu. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in May.
I was a shopkeeper in Iraq, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Kisumu Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $800 goes:
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $250
• Rent deposit and first month: $380
• Language classes and bus passes: $105
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $65
I hope life is good to you.
