For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 337 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $200 goes: • Materials: $105 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $15 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Praying for you, Zawadi. More neighborhoods should do this. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
