A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the Liberty vacant lot that will serve 423 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 423 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,950
• Permits and inspections: $280
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $120
Glad we found this place.
