The Jacaranda vacant lot needs a skate park - Gabriel's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $3,300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,300. It will serve about 408 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,300 goes: • Materials: $2,850 • Permits and inspections: $250 • Tools hire and delivery: $200 Every share and every dollar helps.
