The Jacaranda health centre yard needs a youth football pitch - Wellington's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,350. It will serve about 217 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
