The Hosseini family fled Sudan - help them rebuild in Québec
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Québec: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇨🇦 Québec, Quebec, Canada705 views
My family left Sudan 10 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Québec. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in March.
I was a farmer in Sudan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $700
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $450
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $150
Thank you for reading my story.
