A community-led a community fridge at the Freedom health centre yard that will serve 242 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,700.
It will serve about 242 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Materials: $2,750
• Permits and inspections: $115
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $555
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
