The Cedar health centre yard needs a covered market stall space - Kaleb's neighborhood project
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Cedar health centre yard that will serve 370 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 370 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $35

Good news. Because of your gifts ($57 in total) I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Quick update: $20 raised so far (4%). the plan for tools hire and delivery is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

Good luck, Kaleb. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
