Thabisa is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Gqeberha Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has said Thabisa can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Thabisa has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Thabisa would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Thabisa isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Final term tuition: $310
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $80
