I'm Teresa, 17, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until May. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

- 1 hour a week

hope this works out for you. After 25 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Buenos Aires
Keep going. Study hard! My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Good luck, Teresa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope May is when things finally get easier. God bless.
