Teresa can't leave home - help build a ramp
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Medellín.
🇨🇴 Antioquia, Colombia839 views
Teresa has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Teresa can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Teresa's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

so sorry you're going through this, Rubén. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
Keep going, Rubén. Get well soon. My neighbor in Shubra donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
