Tenant-rights advice for Ramón in San Jose: a short consultation
Looking for housing-law advice in California: a no-fault termination.
🇺🇸 California, United States239 views
My landlord in San Jose has given me a no-fault termination. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in California could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in California would also be appreciated.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Ramón. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
