Tenant-rights advice for Megan in Red Deer: a short consultation
A brief consultation with a housing advisor would help Megan understand their rights.
🇨🇦 Canada52 views
My landlord in Red Deer has given me a 40% rent increase with a 30-day notice. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in Alberta could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in Alberta would also be appreciated.
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this, Megan. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Hubballi this morning. All the best.
