Tenant-rights advice for Lillian in Manchester: a short consultation
Lillian is dealing with an order to leave for 'renovations' and needs someone who knows the law in England to explain the options.

My landlord in Manchester has given me an order to leave for 'renovations'. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in England could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in England would also be appreciated.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
