Tenant-rights advice for Everly in Leeds: a short consultation
Looking for housing-law advice in England: an order to leave for 'renovations'.
Anywhere in the world583 views
My landlord in Leeds has given me an order to leave for 'renovations'. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in England could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in England would also be appreciated.
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong, Everly. This could happen to any of us. After 24 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Greetings from Glasgow.
Hang in there, Everly. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 20 people at work. Thinking of Leeds
Hang in there, Everly. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Dammam.
Wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Take care, Everly. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Ibadan.
