Tawan received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After a delayed insurance payout, Tawan is 3 months behind on rent and has a notice to vacate from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in August, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $950.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $600
• Late fees and court costs: $55
• Utilities in arrears: $70
• First month of rent as a buffer: $225
Glad we found this place.

how is Tawan doing now?
Good luck, Tawan. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tawan.
It's all in the list in the story. rent arrears (3 months) is the big one at $600, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 16 years in customer support I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Take care.
rooting for you, Tawan. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps.
