Tareq's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Tareq won a place at Khulna Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Khulna Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a pilot. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Laptop: $75
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
• Textbooks and workbooks: $15
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going, Tareq. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
