Sycamore Park needs a skate park - Frank's neighborhood project
A community-led a skate park at Sycamore Park that will serve 212 neighbors.
🇺🇸 New York, United States1,186 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,350.
It will serve about 212 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Materials: $2,300
• Permits and inspections: $200
• Safety equipment and signage: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $520
Thanks for reading all this.

Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Maringá
