Susana can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Susana regain independence: a simple ramp build.
π¨π΄ Palmira, Valle del Cauca, Colombia1,431 views
Susana has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Susana can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Susana's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Thinking of you. Get well soon. We're a small family in Sylhet but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Hang in there, Ximena. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope July is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Stay strong, Ximena. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Put this on a community board in Tlaquepaque this morning. Take care.
Stay strong, Ximena. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
Hope it all works out, Ximena. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Blessings.
Sending strength, Ximena. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
Hope things get better soon. Wishing Susana a smooth procedure and a full recovery. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
You're not alone, Ximena. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
