Surgery fund for Vivian: a craniotomy in Riverside
After an aortic valve defect, Vivian was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Vivian was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in August. The surgeon at Riverside Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $5,250 short.
my wife has been in and out of Riverside Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Vivian struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Vivian won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
