Riddhi was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in April. The surgeon at Tiruchirappalli Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $700 short. my daughter has been in and out of Tiruchirappalli Orthopedic Institute since April. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find. While we wait, Riddhi struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks.
