Natalia was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in March. The surgeon at Saint Petersburg University Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,600, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $2,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Petersburg University Hospital since March. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Natalia struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Natalia won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
