Kendall was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in March. The surgeon at Bakersfield Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,550 short.
my mother has been in and out of Bakersfield Regional Medical Center since March. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kendall struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Kendall won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
