Hiba was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Giza Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $810, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Giza Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $810 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hiba struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Hiba won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
