Courtney was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Sacramento General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,550 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Sacramento General Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Courtney struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Courtney won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
