Ake was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in December. The surgeon at Khon Kaen Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,150 short.
my father has been in and out of Khon Kaen Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ake struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Ake won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.

Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $780. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
