Sumaiya is ten months into recovery and looking for a guide
Sumaiya is ten months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm ten months into recovery from prescription-drug dependence. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 1 call a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- lived experience, empathy

Thanks for sharing this, Sumaiya. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Tlaquepaque this morning.

Rooting for you, Sumaiya. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Sumaiya. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care
Best of luck, Sumaiya. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
