Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Eko's family in Jakarta Barat
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Eko needs $400 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Jakarta Barat.

When the textile factory closed in May, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $400.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $400 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $130
• Rent arrears (5 months): $230
• Utilities in arrears: $40
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($79 in total) I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Thank you all. We're at 14% now ($54). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
