Stop the eviction: 4 months of rent for Gerardo's family in A Coruña
After a delayed insurance payout, Gerardo is 4 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 3 weeks, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,900.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $530
• Late fees and court costs: $155
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,215
Glad we found this place.

good luck. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
Wishing you peace, Gerardo. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps.
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of A Coruña.
Hope it all works out, Gerardo. I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
