Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Maverick's family in Birmingham
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Maverick needs $2,350 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Birmingham.

When my hours were cut in half in February, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,350
• Late fees and court costs: $200
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• First month of rent as a buffer: $570
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

take care, Maverick. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless
Thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
Wishing you the best, Maverick. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Keep going, Maverick. Hope you get there. Greetings from Mumbai.
