Start-up fund for Zainab: reopening a flower stall after the demolition of the market
A flower stall in Badagry needs help replacing display cabinets and a cooler after the demolition of the market.
🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria649 views
For three years I have run a flower stall in Badagry. In February, the demolition of the market took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $185
• Working capital for the first month: $55
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
I hope life is good to you.

Thinking of you, Zainab. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Wishing you peace. Hope you make a strong comeback. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.
Best of luck, Zainab. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
Sending good thoughts, Zainab. This could happen to any of us. Blessings.
