Start-up fund for Rodel: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a long illness and repossession
Rodel lost a commercial oven to a long illness and repossession and needs $450 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Manila. In September, a long illness and repossession took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $125
• Replacing a commercial oven: $240
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you peace, Rodel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Take care.
