Start-up fund for Paolo: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a storm that collapsed the roof
A bicycle repair shop in Latina needs help replacing a full set of tools after a storm that collapsed the roof.
🇮🇹 Lazio, Italy1,579 views
For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Latina. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $2,150
• Initial stock: spare parts: $450
• Shop repairs and licensing: $155
• Working capital for the first month: $445
Thanks for reading all this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Paolo
Sure. The biggest one is replacing a full set of tools, $2,150. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
So sorry you're going through this, Paolo. Looking forward to the next update. Blessings.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Latina
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about replacing a full set of tools, advice is welcome too. It helps to be asked.
