Tokyo
For three years I have run a small grocery stall in Tokyo. In October, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,050 goes: โ€ข Replacing a cold-storage unit: $830 โ€ข Initial stock: fresh produce: $690 โ€ข Shop repairs and licensing: $310 โ€ข Working capital for the first month: $220 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 31% now ($645). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled.
