Start-up fund for Lamia: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a long illness and repossession
Lamia lost a commercial oven to a long illness and repossession and needs $200 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Mumbai. In October, a long illness and repossession took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $200 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $70
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $70
• Working capital for the first month: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Rooting for you. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal.
sending strength, Lamia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
