Start-up fund for Jimena: reopening a street-food cart after a storm that collapsed the roof
A street-food cart in Riverside needs help replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators after a storm that collapsed the roof.

For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in Riverside. In December, a storm that collapsed the roof took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $1,300
• Initial stock: ingredients: $720
• Shop repairs and licensing: $310
• Working capital for the first month: $370
Thanks for being kind about this.

wishing you the best, Jimena. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
