For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Kathmandu. In June, a break-in took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $350 goes: • Replacing a commercial oven: $125 • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $90 • Shop repairs and licensing: $90 • Working capital for the first month: $45 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Indira

Sure. The biggest one is replacing a commercial oven, $125. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
