Epe
For three years I have run a laundry service in Epe. In October, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $400 goes: • Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $185 • Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $70 • Shop repairs and licensing: $60 • Working capital for the first month: $85 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Gbenga

Updates from Gbenga

  1. Small update. $110 so far, the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 15% funded and the plan for replacing two washing machines and a dryer is now scheduled.

  • Sending love, Gbenga. Hope you make a strong comeback. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Londrina

Thinking of you, Gbenga. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Epe.

      • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Gangnam this morning. God bless.
