Start-up fund for Cynthia: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a break-in
Cynthia lost a commercial oven to a break-in and needs $2,600 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Bakersfield. In December, a break-in took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $260
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $490
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,850
Thanks for reading all this.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from San Diego.
Thinking of you and your family, Cynthia. Hope this works out for you.
