Start-up fund for Bola: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a fire in the building
Bola has run a neighborhood bakery for nine years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $300 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Port Harcourt. In August, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $110
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $110
Thanks for reading all this.

I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Hồ Chí Minh City so I could bring a meal. Take care.
How is Bola doing now?
Best of luck. Small businesses are the heart of Port Harcourt. Hope you're open again soon. Love from San Diego.
So sorry you're going through this, Bola. Shared it with a few friends.
Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
