Yiğit was diagnosed with kidney cancer in April. The oncology team at the Istanbul Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Yiğit's 26, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Istanbul Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,050 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $230 • Transport to the Istanbul Oncology Institute: $145 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $175 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
