Standing with Ximena: colon cancer treatment costs
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Monterrey Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Ximena was diagnosed with colon cancer in April. The oncology team at Monterrey Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Ximena is 47, worked as a bakery worker until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Monterrey Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $900 goes:
• Transport to Monterrey Regional Medical Center: $240
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $110
• Scans and lab work: $220
• Household costs while unable to work: $330
Thank you so much.
- Arturo

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 19 years in hospitality I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Monterrey
Hope it all works out. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Haarlem.
You're not alone. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
Stay strong, Arturo. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
