Walter was diagnosed with stomach cancer in November. The oncology team at Arlington Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Walter is 51, worked as a farmer until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Arlington Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,150 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $450 • Household costs while unable to work: $900 • Transport to Arlington Cancer Centre: $800 Glad we found this place.
