Standing with Tabitha: kidney cancer treatment costs

Tabitha was diagnosed with kidney cancer in March. The oncology team at Jinja Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Tabitha is 48, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jinja Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
