Standing with Sione: Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs

Sione was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Manukau Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Sione is 39, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Manukau Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
