Rocío was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Tuxtla Gutiérrez Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Rocío is 44, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tuxtla Gutiérrez Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,500
• Scans and lab work: $480
• Transport to Tuxtla Gutiérrez Cancer Centre: $270
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
• Household costs while unable to work: $475
