Matilda was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at Tamale University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Matilda is 33, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tamale University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95 • Scans and lab work: $250 • Transport to Tamale University Hospital: $155 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Nathaniel
