Standing with Maria: prostate cancer treatment costs

Maria was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March. The oncology team at Grand Rapids Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Maria is 27, worked as a tailor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Grand Rapids Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
