Maria was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at the Jacksonville Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Maria is 33, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Jacksonville Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,400 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $350 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,050 Thanks for reading all this. - Nova
